Department of Health: Aims to improve the health and well-being of the people of England, through the resources available.
Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (GMCVO) - Health Partnership: Tackling health inequalities and addressing public health priorities by improving and strengthening commissioning arrangements with Greater Manchester’s Third Sector.
Greater Manchester Public Health network: An alliance of key stakeholders who work collaboratively to improve the health of people living and working in Greater Manchester and reduce health inequalities.

NHS Tameside and Glossop: The local Primary Care Trust (PCT) responsible for provision of health care in the local area in the first instance e.g. Family doctors (GP’s), Pharmacy, Dentistry etc (primary care).
National Centre for Involvement: National resource centre for good practice on patient and public involvement in health and social care.
NHS Direct: Health news, a guide to the NHS and information on the 24-hour nurse led NHS Direct helpline.
Patient UK: Lists patient groups in the UK and abroad and telephone helplines. Also offers access to information on topics ranging from older people to travel health and information on specific diseases.
Public Health Observatories: The nine regional PHOs are funded by the Department of Health to strengthen the availability and use of health information at local level.
Royal National Institute for the Blind: Provides information and practical services for visually impaired people in the UK.
Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health: Aims to share information about good, innovative and effective practice.
Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust: Tameside's local hospital website.
UK Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee: They advise the UK Government on access for disabled people to transport.
