Organisation: Action for Children
Salary: 19,426-22,002
Action for Children is one of the UK’s largest children’s charities and every year we

help over 156,000 children, young people and families enjoy a brighter future.
Our Tameside Family Intervention service works with families who are causing anti-social behaviour and experiencing multiple problems. We also work preventatively with families with children aged 5-10 years who are at risk of offending.
In this key role, you’ll work intensively with a small caseload of complex families to get to the heart of their issues. Then you’ll co-ordinate a plan with the family and with agencies to address difficulties and to build on their strengths. You'll have either an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent or have the ability or willingness to achieve this. You’ll also need the creativity and persistence to successfully engage families.
So you must have good case management skills, the ability to work independently, the confidence to work with a range of agencies, and the commitment to stay involved for as long as it takes. This is a fixed-term post until March 2011.
