NCVO are now inviting applications for the NCVO Barclays Leadership Programme 2010/11

Following the success of the 2009/10 programme, Barclays is continuing to support NCVO in a programme to inspire leadership in voluntary and community sector organisations.

We are inviting applications from Chairs of trustees, Chief Executives, and others who lead teams within their organisation, who have received little or no previous leadership training/development and who are reasonably new to their leadership position.

The programme will enable you to reflect on and develop your leadership style, develop yourself as a leader of others, and assist you to make a contribution towards leadership of the sector.

'I now feel I have broader knowledge about the notion of leadership. I have a ‘tool box’ that I can refer to and techniques that will help me reflect and consider before acting/speaking.' 2008/09 participant.

Using a combination of facilitated workshops, action learning, assessment tools and self-directed learning, the emphasis of the programme will be on peer learning, linking learning to current workplace and sector challenges and building participants' confidence in their leadership skills. There will also be input from experienced sector leaders.

Pricing
Thanks to the generous support of Barclays, the total cost of the programme is:

• £245 NCVO members
• £350 Non-members

Eligibility Criteria
Your organisation must have:

• A turnover of between £50,000 and £750,000
• A team of up to 20 people
• Be established and delivering activity
